AI audit

An AI audit for your small business

£495, about a week. A written plan showing what AI and automation could take off your hands, what it would cost and what it would save.

What is an AI audit?

An AI audit is a short, fixed-price look at how your business runs, to find out where AI and automation would actually save time and money, and where they would not. Some people call it an AI readiness assessment. For a small business it is a practical answer to one question: what should we automate first?

Over about a week, I look at where your time goes, the tools you use and the information that moves between them. You get a written plan that ranks each opportunity by the hours and pounds it could save, what it would cost to build and run, and anything to watch out for, such as data protection.

It is not a sales pitch for a big project. If the honest answer is that a £20-a-month app would do the job, or that nothing is worth automating yet, that is what the plan will say.

What I look at

Where your time goes

The repeat jobs that fill the week, who does them and how long they take, from enquiries to invoices to reporting.

Your tools and data

The apps you pay for, what they can connect to and where the same information is typed in more than once.

Risk and data protection

Which information is sensitive, where it would need to stay, and what the AI should never be allowed to do.

Quick wins

Things you can switch on yourself in tools you already have, at no cost, before spending anything on a build.

What you get, and who it suits

What you get

  • A written plan, ranked by hours and pounds saved
  • A build price and running cost for each item
  • Quick wins you can set up yourself
  • Notes on data protection and risks
  • A 30-minute call to walk through it

£495, fixed. It comes off the price of a build if you go ahead within 60 days.

Who it suits

  • You know admin is eating the week, but not where to start
  • You have tried ChatGPT and want something more reliable
  • You want a price before committing to a build
  • You need to explain the plan to a partner or co-owner

Already know what you want automated? You can skip the audit and go straight to a build.

AI audit questions

How much does an AI audit cost?

It is £495, fixed. If you go ahead with a build within 60 days, the £495 comes off the build price.

How much of my time does it take?

About three hours after the free call: a short questionnaire, a working session where you show me how things are done now, and a call to walk through the plan.

Do I need an audit before a build?

No. If you already know which job you want automated, we can go straight to a fixed-price build. The audit is for when you want to know where to start.

Is this the same as an AI readiness assessment?

It covers the same ground, sized for a small business. It looks at your processes, tools, data and risks, then turns that into a short, practical plan rather than a long report.

Is the plan mine to keep?

Yes. You can use it to build things yourself, hire someone else, or ask me. There is no obligation to go ahead.

What if the audit finds nothing worth automating?

Then the plan says so, with any free quick wins it found. It is better to spend £495 finding that out than thousands on something that won't pay back.
